Protein Diet Plan

The protein diet plan is primarily used by individuals who want to cut carbs and lose weight. While giving up bread, pasta, potatoes, and other things loaded with carbs sounds awfully difficult, it can be easy if you know what other foods you can substitute those with. Below, we’ll discuss a great and healthy protein diet plan and how you can create your own.

The great thing about the high protein diet is that you can eat foods that most diets don’t allow. This includes eggs, most meats, and even fats to a certain extent. The key is to eat a well-rounded, balanced diet so that you’re getting the nutrition you need and still losing weight.

Breakfast – for breakfast, enjoy eggs without the yolk, and multi-grain toast. You can even have a fruit to go with breakfast. If you want, substitute the eggs for 3 ounces of lean meat.

Lunch – for lunch, you can eat plenty of foods and still avoid carbs. Have a few ounces of fresh turkey, 2 cups of steamed vegetables (green or baby carrots), and a type of cheese. Cottage cheese is a great choice, as it provides vitamins and it’s rich, so you don’t feel deprived.

Dinner – For dinner, stick with meat that is lean and low in calories. Skinless chicken breast is a great idea, and you can pair that with a raw vegetable like broccoli with 1 tablespoon of ranch dressing. Or, choose celery sticks with a tablespoon of peanut butter. The amount of broccoli and celery doesn’t really matter.

Snack – A protein bar is a great snack and allows you to stay away from carbs altogether.

Using protein diet plans like this one will allow you to lose weight, eat plenty of protein, and avoid carbohydrates. Research different foods and their nutritional levels so that you can take a basic protein diet plan like the one above and add your own favorite foods to make it the way you like it. After a few days, you’ll get the hang of it and it can actually be fun to create your own menus and know you have control over your body.
