Making Easy Diet Plans

Losing weight is as simple as making easy diet plans you can stick to. Through all the fad diets, one thing remains the truth – the key to losing weight is increasing the amount of calories you burn and decreasing the amount of calories you take in. You already burn somewhere around 2,000 calories a day anyway – so the trick is to eat less and exercise more. Using this philosophy, you can make a load of easy diet plans.

Creating Meal Ideas

Count the calories in everything you eat. You need to burn more than you’re taking in. So, knowing that you burn 2,000 calories a day, if you eat only 1,500 calories a day, you will lose weight. In fact, you’ll lose about a pound a week. However, you can lose more if you burn more calories through exercise. Let’s look at some of the meal options you could choose.

For breakfast, one cup of coffee with 2 tablespoons of non-dairy creamer and 2 packets of splenda (a rich cup) is about 60 calories. If you have a slice of toast with butter, you’re going to add about 160 calories. That’s a small breakfast, but you’ve only taken in 220 calories. However, if you have a cup of prepared oatmeal with ¼ cup of fresh fruit, you’re only having about 190 calories and you’re going to stay full a lot longer.

Find lower-calorie foods to add to your meals so that you don’t feel deprived. When you want something sweet, take away from other parts of your day. Skip soft drinks or calorie-laden drinks all day, and you can have a brownie or a few chocolates. You don’t have to deprive yourself to lose weight if you count calories.

Exercising

Dancing around your living room for 10 minutes will burn about 70 calories. Jumping rope for just 15 minutes can burn about 200 calories. It’s pretty simple and they add up if you do exercise. Try to do exercises you think are fun. This will help keep you motivated. The more calories you burn, the more weight you’re going to lose. Using exercise and easy diet plans, you can meet your weight loss goal quickl

Protein Diet Plan

The protein diet plan is primarily used by individuals who want to cut carbs and lose weight. While giving up bread, pasta, potatoes, and other things loaded with carbs sounds awfully difficult, it can be easy if you know what other foods you can substitute those with. Below, we’ll discuss a great and healthy protein diet plan and how you can create your own.

The great thing about the high protein diet is that you can eat foods that most diets don’t allow. This includes eggs, most meats, and even fats to a certain extent. The key is to eat a well-rounded, balanced diet so that you’re getting the nutrition you need and still losing weight.

Protein Diet Plan

Breakfast – for breakfast, enjoy eggs without the yolk, and multi-grain toast. You can even have a fruit to go with breakfast. If you want, substitute the eggs for 3 ounces of lean meat.

Lunch – for lunch, you can eat plenty of foods and still avoid carbs. Have a few ounces of fresh turkey, 2 cups of steamed vegetables (green or baby carrots), and a type of cheese. Cottage cheese is a great choice, as it provides vitamins and it’s rich, so you don’t feel deprived.

Dinner – For dinner, stick with meat that is lean and low in calories. Skinless chicken breast is a great idea, and you can pair that with a raw vegetable like broccoli with 1 tablespoon of ranch dressing. Or, choose celery sticks with a tablespoon of peanut butter. The amount of broccoli and celery doesn’t really matter.

Snack – A protein bar is a great snack and allows you to stay away from carbs altogether.

Using protein diet plans like this one will allow you to lose weight, eat plenty of protein, and avoid carbohydrates. Research different foods and their nutritional levels so that you can take a basic protein diet plan like the one above and add your own favorite foods to make it the way you like it. After a few days, you’ll get the hang of it and it can actually be fun to create your own menus and know you have control over your body.

How to Control Your Food Cravings

When you’re hungry, foods (especially treats) can be downright tempting. In fact, when you’re hungry or craving for something sweet, it is really hard to get past the craving and make a healthy choice. In this article, we’ll discuss how to control your food cravings so that you can stick to your healthy eating habits and lose weight.

To stop food cravings, you should make sure you are not dehydrated. Give your body the liquid that it craves. Many times we mistake hunger pains for mere dehydration. By filling yourself with water, you can hold off the cravings and stop them in their track.

To stop food cravings, do something besides concentrate on the craving. For instance, you can  take a nap or go out for a walk.  Either way, when you concentrate on something else besides eating, your body tends to forget about the craving and it will pass. Once it passes, you’ll be more able to control it.

Instead of giving into your craving for something unhealthy, eat something healthy and take time to really chew the healthy food and savor it. Sit down at a table and truly relish the taste. By doing this, you can enjoy the healthy choice and put the craving out of your mind.

The most important factor to stop food cravings is discipline. If you’ve decided to take on a slimming down journey, you should be able to bear anything that comes with it. Self-control is needed in this matter. To stop food cravings, you should teach yourself when and when not to eat. For instance, learn to tell the difference between actual hunger and emotional eating. Oftentimes when we think we’re hungry, we’re actually only craving for validation or suffering from anger or some other emotion and use food to pacify our feelings.

The road to getting fit is not easy as it seems and although eliminating food cravings isn’t easy, it can be done.  By taking control of yourself and your needs, learning to listen to you body, making healthy choices, practicing discipline and keeping your eyes on your goal, you can control food cravings.
